The USCM Shoulder-lamp is an iconic part of the Aliens film. It provided some of the only white light in the dark scenes, adding to the claustrophobia.
Our shoulder lamps are cast from the original Reflecta lamp head and Vega diving torch handle which are incredibly hard to get hold of. The lamp body is a professionally replicated copy of the SuperSwitch Door Entry system, made on a 3D printer to the original sizes to create the master for casting.
The brackets and vanes are all constructed of laser cut aluminium and the swivels are reinforced with an internal steel rod to address this usual known weak point.
The body is also a very good Brown Bess colour.
It is wired with an LED bulb (MR16 12v) and has a working external on/off switch. It’s bright… Don’t look at it!
Internally we fit an 8-Cell AA battery holder for ease, but the unit will run on any battery source up to 12v.
